Introduction of Computer

Computer is an electronic machine which perform verity of tasks such as writing letters, drawing picture, listening music, watching movies, playing games, sending and getting information on the internet, keeping records, doing calculation, controlling robot, launching rockets and so on . Computer can perform variety of tasks according to the set of instructions given to it. The set of instruction given to the computer in a programming language is known as a computer program. A computer processes the data according to the program instructions and produces the meaningful information called result or output. The set of programs that instructs the computer to perform certain task is called a software.

Definition of Computer
The word " computer " is derived from the word " COMPUTARE " which means to calculate. In the past, the computer was normally consider as calculating device used to perform different calculation. But today's modern computer is able to perform several tasks. So, computer can be define as:
Computer is an electronic machine, which generates information by processing raw data according to the prescribed sequence of instruction. It can also store the data and information for future use.

A computer is an electronic machine, that accepts the data and instructions from the user, processes the data according to the given set of instructions, store and gives the information (result).
